Foreman

Position Summary:

The Carpentry Foreman is responsible for the day-to- day operations of job sites including
managing material, equipment, expenses, and a crew to ensure work is completed in a timely, safe,
and profitable manner. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each
essential duty. The requirements/duties/skills/knowledge/ability required are listed below. This is
a working position, all employees shall be active members of the working jobsite team and will be
expected to work just as hard as any other employees on the jobsite.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage crews and jobsites. This includes that all administrative work
(hours, logs, expenses, et cetera) is completed by the end of the workday.
- Follows industry standards, procedure, and comply with federal, state, and local building
codes.
- Assist in scheduling
- Complete all necessary paperwork in a timely fashion
- Communicates with everyone in a professional, courteous manner
- Track Jobsite inventory
- Initiate requisitions for needed tools and supplies
- Must set a positive example for all other employees
- Must be available via text, e-mail, and phone
- Understand and enforce safety regulations
- Assign general and daily responsibilities
- Supervise and train workers
- Monitor crew compliance with company policies
- Supervise use of machinery and equipment
- Must be able to multi-task
- Report progress and/or issues to management
- Resolve problems and present solutions to management
- Resolve conflicts or miscommunication that may happen on site quickly and amicably
- Work with sub-contractors
- Must have OSHA 10 hour course

Technical Skills:

- 8-10 years of experience in commercial construction
- 4-5 year of experience as a foreman in commercial construction
- Able to work in a group decision making system
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of codes, industry best practices, and regulations
- Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints
- Aptitude in math and problem solving abilities
- Technologically savvy

- Knowledge of industry tools
- Must have a valid driver’s license

- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must have personal standard carpentry tools
